Daily Inspiration: Meet Kezia Alford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kezia Alford. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Kezia Alford is an International Award-Winning Artist from Mississippi. A Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) Singer/Songwriter, she creates soulful, spiritual, and unique music reaching from heaven right into the hearts of listeners. Kezia has been featured on Fox 10, ABC News, TBN, WATC TV 57, and Atlanta Live and was a television host for TBN’s (Trinity Broadcasting Network) community show “Joy In Our Town” seen in Metro Atlanta with over 46 million viewers worldwide. Kezia is also a TV Host of A Women’s Journey with Kezia Alford.

Kezia never dreamt about becoming a singer, but when Christ stepped into her life, her inspiration changed. The Lord showed her a new way forward and Kezia hasn’t looked back. She has spent the last 18 years creating music to empower, inspire, and rejuvenate lives and works through the spirit of God. A Prophetic singer and guitarist who sings from her heart, Kezia needs little preparation to share her gifts with the world. As an empowered mentor, Kezia uses her talents to help singers/songwriters unlock their true gifts and share their stories.

Kezia is also the founder of the P31 Power in Purpose Women’s Conference to help women walk in their true calling and purpose. Kezia has released three albums, including the most recent self-titled album, “KEZIA.” She was honored in the first round of the Dove Awards and won the Steeple Song of the Year Award for “Mississippi Tales.” Her work was honored as a nominee at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. Besides this, Kezia also won nominations for Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Female Vocalist, and Songwriter.

Kezia and her husband, James, recently opened a TV/Film Studio (Kingdom Media Studio) in the Atlanta Metro Area and have a full media production company. Inspired by the pastoral service of her late grandmother, Kezia is honored to carry forth the work of the spiritual development of souls and the pursuit of holiness. Her heart for kingdom service requires her to manage numerous responsibilities in the home while raising two sons and simultaneously assisting her husband in ministry. Kezia and their family currently reside in Atlanta, GA.

Kezia’s ultimate prayer is that we all accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior and always let Him DIRECT YOUR PATH!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. Finding my voice and being okay with the sound and gift that God gave me was a struggle at first.

My audience didn’t look like everyone else’s audience around me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Singer/Songwriter/Musician and Media host. I specialize in writing songs for Jesus and helping others to do the same along the way.

I am most proud of balancing all of it along with being a mom, wife, and grandmother. I travel to Nashville often to write and produce music for myself and other artists.

Recent work:

*Collaborating with independent Christian artists for songwriting and music production.

*My songs are pitched to established artists who are signed to major record labels.

*Contributing to the creation of theme songs for films.

*Managing and consulting with artists to help them launch and advance their careers.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is my dad teaching me to play drums and learn rhythm.
