Meet Jarrod Barry

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jarrod Barry.

Hi Jarrod, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Jarrod Barry. I’m a country music artist from the farmlands outside Indiana, PA. I’ve been making music since I was in 3rd grade. I’ve dabbled in different genres, but country music just feels like and reminds me of home. It’s also Broughton me closer to God. I released my first country song during the pandemic titled “Tractor.”

It went viral on TikTok, which helped A LOT! Hahaha. After the response to Tractor, I released a few other singles, “Happy” and “Whiskey On Ice,” which led to my debut country LP and sophomore album, “I Just Want To Be Happy.” It ended up doing 10,000,000 streams across all platforms. This was an absolute dream come true for a small-town kid from the middle of nowhere. I’m extremely blessed. I got to do my first tour from it and did my biggest show to date in my hometown (2,500+ in attendance).

I’m not working on my follow up album with singles “Last Time”, “When We Fell Apart”, “Hurt”, & “Good As Gone” out now. I start my second tour on April 27th! I’ll be performing in Nashville, TN, on May 25th at Phat Bites and May 26th at The Dive Motel! Y’all should stop by and say what’s up! Totally free entry!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not. There were plenty of times when it felt like I may have been crazy. Being from a small place, people think you’re nuts for chasing such a big dream. You just have to show them that it’s possible!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a country music artist. I’d have to say I’m most proud of the fact that I never gave up and kept on trucking along! I’m VERY different in my delivery of songs and my performances from other artists in the genre.

I perform with DJ NotSafeForWork and my guitarist, Julius Romano. People have really been enjoying what we’ve been doing! So much so that the Pittsburgh Brewing Company noticed it and wanted to have us perform for their events for something “different.”

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.

The opportunities I’ve received are out of the world for someone like me. Getting to meet Gary Vee in his NYC office with my director/photographer Jordan Beckham was CRAZY!!!
