Daily Inspiration: Meet Gerry Navarrete

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerry Navarrete

Hi Gerry, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started concentrating on branding Visionaries Photography by doing band photography around 2011.

My best friend Chris Mangune, who is Visual Artistry Media, is a fashion photographer.
He became a great mentor and I started learning from him.

I fell in love doing fashion concepts and shoots.
I decided that’s what I want to do.
I was privileged to shoot Nashville Fashion Week in 2017 and 2019.
To this day fashion is my favorite to shoot!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving to Nashville was definitely a struggle.
It was a very new area to me with lots of unknowns and no support system.

Meeting new people and being embraced by the fashion community in Nashville help tremendously to push forward and help documenting Nashville Fashion Week.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I enjoy shooting on location and using different backdrops to set the scene.
I love industrial locations but I also love shooting on beaches.

What’s next?
My plan for Visionaries Photography is to shoot in a variety of locations and work with creatives new to me

I intend to travel more and see different parts of the world!
